How can I view the abstracts that are being presented?
The Program & Abstracts Book will be available in the virtual platform and on the ISAR website under "ISAR" where it will be accessible to ISAR members. You must be logged in as an ISAR member to view the Program & Abstracts Book on the website. All abstracts along with the program schedule and other conference details will be available in the Program & Abstracts Book and in the virtual platform. Where can I see the Program Schedule? The Program Schedule will be posted in the Program & Abstracts Book as well as on the virtual platform (see additional details below) which will be available by Monday, May 20, 2024. However, you may view the schedule-at-a-glance by clicking below. View Detailed program schedule When will live programming take place? All scheduled times for ICAR2024 programming are listed in Australian Eastern Standard Time from May 20 through May 24, 2024. If you are unable to attend in-person, recordings of the live in-person sessions will be posted in the virtual platform for on-demand viewing within 24-48 hours following the live session. The schedule is also posted in the Program and Abstracts Book. Note that the Women in Science, Career Development and in-person Poster Sessions will not be recorded. What will the poster sessions look like? All posters, even those presented in-person in Gold Coast, will be available as electronic posters to be viewed on the virtual platform. All posters will also be available for Q&A through the virtual platform. There will be no live Q&A for virtual posters. There will be two poster sessions onsite in Gold Coast for those attending in person. During the conference week (May 20-24), all presenters should check their messages in the virtual platform twice daily to address questions sent to them by fellow attendees. How do I access the virtual platform? All registered attendees will receive log-in details on Monday, May 20. The easiest way to access the platform is to click on the link you receive in your log-in details email. You will be prompted to enter your name and email. When will Conference presentations be available to view on the virtual platform? The invited and short oral presentations along with the Plenary lectures, ISAR awardee lectures, and PechaKucha Competition will be recorded and available for on-demand viewing 24-48 hours after the live session. Registered attendees will be able to view these sessions on the virtual platform under Schedule>On Demand Session. All posters will be available for viewing starting Monday, May 20. How do I interact with presenters if I have questions? How long will Conference content be available? All registered attendees will be able to access on-demand content through June 24, 2024. All visitors to Australia need a valid passport and an Australian visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). Do not delay and apply for your visa now. What is best way to get to Gold Coast and the hotel?A convenient way to transfer to the Gold Coast from Brisbane Airport is using the Airtrain service. Trains depart regularly from the Brisbane Airport to the Gold Coast, where connections can be made from Airtrain stations via G:Link or bus connection to popular Gold Coast locations. You can also choose to transfer from Brisbane Airport by bus, private transfer or limousine. Brisbane Airport is located approximately 80km from the Gold Coast and transfer times are dependent on traffic conditions, so check when you make your booking how long it is likely to take. Airtrain and Tram Info from Brisbane to Gold Coast How do I get around while in Gold Coast? Buses, trains and G:link trams operate on the Translink network and the easiest way to ride is to buy a Go Card ticket which can be purchased at any 7-eleven store, visitor information services, most train and tram stations plus select newsagents. G:link trams also use Smart ticketing, so a tap of your preferred credit card or smartphone can be used for payment. A Go Explore card is another great option for travellers - allowing unlimited use of the Translink service for just $10 a day and $5 for kids.
