All abstracts must be submitted online by February 17, 2017. Abstracts will not be accepted in any other manner. All abstract bodies are limited to 250 words and abstract titles to 250 characters. The system will automatically impose these restrictions when you enter your abstract.

If you accessed the submission site for the 2016 ICAR, you can login with the same User ID and Password used previously.

Specific topics to be covered in the ICAR scientific program include: medicinal chemistry, virus replication, host cell-virus interactions, virus latency, new target identification, biochemistry and mechanism of action, mechanisms of viral drug resistance, assay development, in vitro evaluation, in vivo studies, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, and clinical trials. This year, ICARs abstract tracks include Respiratory Viruses, Medicinal Chemistry, Clinical Evaluation of Antiviral Drugs, Hepatitis Viruses and Retroviruses, DNA Viruses and Other Viruses, and Emerging Infections.

Poster Awards Competition - Important Information for 2017
Abstract presenters can only be considered for a poster award if indicated during the abstract submission process. To do this, you must follow the instructions below:

1.Begin your abstract submission.

2.When asked if you would like to be considered for a Poster Award, select "Yes”.

3.Answer the subsequent questions.

4.Upon notification of poster abstract submission, further details will be provided. However, you will be required to submit your poster online via the abstract system in advance of the meeting.

Any poster presenter who is awarded an oral presentation and would still like to compete for a Poster Award should prepare and present a poster at the meeting and should have slides available if they are selected for the Shotgun Poster Presentation.

Poster Presenters
When developing and printing your poster for the 2017 ICAR, please note that the display board will be 8 feet wide and 4 feet tall. More details on the poster session will follow upon notification of acceptance.
Shotgun Poster Presentations
This session will give graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other young investigators the opportunity to present their posters as short talks. Those wishing to be considered for this session should prepare 3-4 slides summarizing their poster, and the presenters will be chosen after review of the posters. Two presenters will be selected as co-chairs.
