Dear Friends and Colleagues: ICAR is returning to San Francisco! The 26th International Conference on Antiviral Research will be held at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, California, USA. The Conference will begin on Saturday, May 11, 2013 with a Keynote Address by Eva Harris followed by a Tribute to legacy of Antonín Holý by John Martin and a welcoming reception. The meeting also features an Interactive Workshop entitled Drug Discovery and Development 101 and a symposium on Strategies and Tactics in Drug Design. The meeting will conclude with a banquet on Wednesday May 15th. The ICAR provides an interdisciplinary forum at which investigators involved in basic, applied, and clinical research worldwide can meet to communicate and review recent developments in all areas of antiviral research and development. Specific topics to be covered in the program include medicinal chemistry, new target identification, molecular virology, biochemistry, and mechanisms of action and viral resistance, assay development, in vitro evaluation, animal models, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, and clinical trials. Within these areas of interest, there will be invited overview speakers, oral presentations, and poster presentations. The meeting provides a truly interdisciplinary view of cutting-edge antiviral drug research and development that will be of interest to chemists, biologists, and clinicians. Abstract submission to the 26th ICAR is now OPEN. We look forward to seeing you there.
